Catching Up

It has been way too long since we have posted. These past three months have been so busy for us. We are just now back into the swing of things so now that I can finally sit down and breath I thought I would catch everyone up on the last three months. I'll start with the most recent and work my way back to November.

JANUARY: This month started out absolutely crazy. For those of you who don't know, we have moved to Chubbuck. It was a crazy start for us because my work schedule changed from working every weekend to working 6 on 8 off. It just so happened that I was working the middle of my 6 when we made the move. Not too mention we had to be out of our last apartment by December 31st and we couldn't move in our new apartment until December 31st. That's right, one day. We had one day to move. This is how it went. I worked 13 1/2 hours got off came home slept for one hour. Then Ben woke me up so we could go sign papers for our new apartment. I stayed at the new apartment to wait for our new washer and dryer to be delivered and Ben went and got the U-haul to start loading. Don't forget, it's New Years Eve, almost everyone was gone. Well... Kurt came and helped for 3 hours then he had to go. Tim, my stepbrother came and helped us the rest of the day then his mom came and helped after she got off work. Thank you three for your help, we would have been in trouble without it. After loading and unloading all day I had to turn right around and go to work on one hour of sleep. I was exhausted. Ben had to return the U-haul by 7 so after I left for work he was still moving with the car. He was so good and surprised me with some arctic circle at work. Work was horrible because it is the turning of a new month so we had to change out the mars on top of everything else. After work was over I went home took a shower and we had to turn around and go to Utah for a funeral. I'm not going to lie, I was dreading the funeral because I am a big ball baby when it comes to funerals and with only one hour of sleep in a couple of days I didn't think my hormones could take it, but it turned out to be really good. We got to see James and Cali and spend time with them because we don't get to see them very often. We got to say our goodbyes. It was really good. Here are some pictures we captured.

Here is Travis with his Grandpa Cook eating baked potatoes and Chocolate cake.

After dinner was over it was time to clean up. One-by-one everyone started to disappear, but Cameron stayed to the end to help clean up.

Here is Katelyn passing by.

Cali and Cameron were having a depantsing contest. Cameron if you haven't learned yet, you will soon learn just ask your dad: MOM'S ALWAYS WIN!!!

I have a cute picture of Katelyn and Travis, but my battery to my camera as I was uploading so I will have to post it another day.

DECEMBER: What can I say a month of surprises.

Travis started standing on his own. We've had to lower the mattress in his crib. He gets around really well now. He's keeping us busy than ever chasing after him.

A couple days before Christmas Travis had some visitors.

Chelsie brought Travis a new hat to keep his bald head warm in the winter.

Angie brought Travis a new book for bedtime.

Ashley brought Travis a new bag.

Grandma Hagg brought Travis a new singing goat.

The next day Travis had another visit from Grandma and Grandpa Cook. The spoiling doesn't stop!!

Grandma Cook brought Travis a new toy. He doesn't quite know how to put the rings on yet, but he sure loves to chew on them at home. He loves it.

Grandpa Cook brought Travis a jack-in-the-box. I'm not sure who loves it more, Travis or Ben.

Christmas Eve Ben and I decided to get a little last minute shopping done. On our way to Idaho Falls we got a phone call from Ashley. She asked us what we were doing and if we were busy because she was going to get married in a couple of hours. Ashley knows how to put stress in a persons day, that's all I can say. It turned out pretty good for pulling a wedding together in three hours. I was quite pleased I didn't even have to wear a dress.

2 down, 2 to go. Get on it girls!
It doesn't take Travis long to move on.
Goodbye Ashley...
Hello Eva!

For our first Christmas together Ben, Travis, & I broke into Kathy & Rulan's house and had our own little family Christmas there. It turned out pretty good.

Santa Claws brought Ben a new computer. Ben's parents must be tight with Santa because they new that he would need the accessory kit to go with it. Santa brought Travis a stocking full of goodies and a brand new walker that he just loves. Ben and I love it too because now we can set Travis down without him crying to be held. Ben got me a new necklace that I love. We also got a game from James & Cali and a movie from Ashley and I got a new set of pots and pans from Rulan and Kathy.
Our cute little baby is getting so big. He really enjoyed his first Christmas.

Kyle & Alisha came over for our annual cracker house making. Ben and I improved very much from last year, but Kyle & Alisha still beat us. We'll get them next year..... hopefully.

NOVEMBER: This was another exciting month. We had two events; California vacation and Kyle & Alisha's wedding.

For our first family vacation Ben & I decided to go to California to see my Aunt Cindy. While we were there we went to see the beach, we went to see all kinds of restaurants, shopping malls, and we even saw Santa Claws. We weren't able to see my Grandma Bobbie like we wanted because of traveling issues, but we did get to see my Grandpa Walt so that was nice.

Ben & Travis on the airplane; Travis & me waiting for bags.

First thing we did was go to the beach.

Ben & I at a shopping mall.

Travis got to spend the night with us. He loved every minute of it, but Ben thought otherwise.
Travis was a little too small for his booster chair, but we thought we would give it a try.

Every time we go to California my Uncle Sean takes the boys to Hooters. I wasn't going to let the boys go without me. Who knows what trouble they would get into.

Travis & Taylor.

Great Grandpa Walt

Travis was a little unsure of Santa, but he sure enjoyed listening to Mrs. Claws story time.

Train ride.

Thanks for a good time Cindy!

Sorry ladies this one is now officially off the market, but you can enjoy the pictures.
