Natalie Sue Cook

August 3, 2012 Ben, Travis, and I welcomed Natalie Sue Cook into the world. Natalie was 6 lbs 11 oz. and 19 inches tall. She was born at 12:48 p.m. She is a quiet happy baby that sleeps like an angel! When we told my family that we were going to name her Natalie everyone instantly knew what a special person she is named after, but not many people outside of my family know. Natalie is named after a person very special in my life. She is named after Natalie Goodwin. Natalie Goodwin was my neighbor in Snake River when I was growing up. She was at the time my best friends mom. She died of cancer when I was in sixth grade almost sixteen years ago. She was the nicest lady and best person I have ever known. She was the kind of person that made the world a better place. My mom has always told me that she is pretty sure Natalie got a free pass to the Celestial Kingdom.

Goodbye 2011. Hello 2012!

Well 2011 is gone and 2012 is here. Ben and I are way behind on our blogging. There really is no way to catch up 9 months worth either. All I can say is 2011 did not agree with our family. It was a long year so we are not sad to see it go. It wasn't all bad though. We had a lot of good moments. Here are our pictures from 2011 starting from the most recent. The only pictures I didn't include were from the Cook Family Reunion and that is only because Ben is not here to help me figure out how to get them off the internet.

For one of our family home evenings we decorated our Christmas tree together. We had a lot of fun!

The presents didn't get wrapped right away. Travis just knew something was supposed to go under the tree. He thought it looked a little bare so he helped us out by grabbing his stuffed animals and pillow to put under it.

After a fun night of putting up the tree we sat down to eat dinner, but someone didn't quite make it.

Travis's booster seat broke so we had to improvise. I put my school books back to use.

Travis and his buddy Jimmy.

Travis transfixed on Diego. There is no getting his attention once that show is on.

Travis in his Charlie Brown Halloween outfit. This is the best picture I got. He wouldn't put that book down.

We put Travis to bed after his fun Trick or Treating night. When we went to check on him before we went to bed ourselves we couldn't open the door because he decided to go sleep in front of it with his alligator pillow. I had to squeeze the camera through the door just to get this picture.

I got home from work one night and Trav waited up for me. After I changed into my pajamas Trav came and sat on my lap for a back scratch. It put him right to sleep.

For our fourth anniversary Ben and I played hard. We took Travis with us to Boise so we could go to the water park and the zoo. We hung out with Becky and Josh and went to my favorite P.F. Changs for lunch.

While we were at the zoo we got to see the butterfly exhibit. The butterfly's were everywhere.

It took us forever to get a picture of Travis on this statue. All the other kids were hogging it.

A week earlier Ben, Travis, and I went on a quick trip with my family to California so that Ben and Travis could meet my Grandma Bobby for the first time. We stopped at my Aunt Cindy's for lunch. We wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed with my Grandpa Hall and his wife Joanna when we were in California. It was the first time the three of of have ever been to his house. It was a lot of fun. My grandpa gave Ben and Travis a ride on the forklift.

Over the summer Ben and I tried to get our couch potato off the couch and in the sun. We took him to the park a couple times so he could play on the playground.

He loved it!

Giving Dad a 'h-five' after going down the big boy slide.

More slides.

We also took him to the Rexburg water park a couple times. You can see who was in charge of helping Travis on the slides. Ben was just thrilled. :)

Going down the waterslide.

Here is a classic naptime picture of Travis. When laying him down for a nap you are most likely able to find him sleeping anywhere, but the bed.

We went to visit our friends Tuesdee and Aaron when they bought their new home in Rexburg. It was good for the kids to play. Here is Travis and Paityn.

They had fun sliding down the hill and having a water fight.

Travis liked to play with all their toys.

One day when mom wasn't paying attention as closely as she should have Travis decided to take a shower by himself with his clothes on.

Travis pestering his daddy.

We got a pass to the zoo in Idaho Falls over the summer and took Travis there so he could see the monkeys. He really liked the playground.

For Travis's birthday last year we got him a kitchen set because they told us in primary that he loved playing with it the most. We got our moneys worth out of it too.

On my days off there is nothing like wasting away the day playing with my boy all day.
